InkLink Events
InkLink Events was founded with a simple mission: to turn the dreams of authors and readers into reality. We believe in celebrating the art of literature- whether you’re a bestselling author, passionate writer, or just starting out on your writing journey!
Our goal is to build a warm, inspiring community where like-minded individuals can connect, inspire and thrive. We prioritise passion, and support every published author, traditionally and indie published. Here at InkLink, we believe that everyone has a place, and every story matters.
It started with two girls and a dream. Elly and Maria met through social media, from opposite sides of the country, but wanting a way to connect through the thing we love most: writing! With Elly’s idea to create a book event - where authors can speak about their work, writers can feel inspired and readers can meet other readers - we began to work on it together, finding the rest of our team: Chrysie, Lucy, Lois and Gabriela. We put our heads together and started sketching out the ins and outs of what we would need to do to bring it to life.We reached out to authors we admired and got lucky. Their kindness and patience helped us create our first panelled event on June 29th 2024. The love and amazement of the day gave us the drive to continue to where we are today. We’re not a big corporation with funds and a full-time focus - we’re like all of you: people with a shared love of literature and a passion to bring it to life!

An afternoon of inspiration and insight with our panellists, Holly Jukes, T. S. Reed, and Dilan Dyer, who shared their writing journeys, tips, and tales. They discussed their creative processes to building up that tension we all know and love between the main characters. Alexandra Claire then spoke to us about the inner workings of traditional publishing, with tips on getting a deal.

We explored what happens after the angsty confessions of love and eager kissing. Ella D'Avoine, T. S. Reed, Jenna Wolfhart and Penelope Coggins discuss how they craft adult scenes in their work. Proofreader and copy editor Abby-Eve Editorial then walked us through how she goes about refining the scene to make sure it hits the spot every time.
